Texas Donuts and Shelter House Join Forces to Give Back This April
Two locations donate 10% of proceeds on five April giving days, plus a sponsorship at the Changing Lives Benefit Luncheon — April 22, Westwood Country Club.
CENTREVILLE, VA, UNITED STATES, April 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- CENTREVILLE, Va. — April 2, 2026 — Texas Donuts, the beloved community donut shop with locations in Centreville and Vienna, Virginia, today announced a month-long giving partnership with Shelter House Inc., a Northern Virginia nonprofit dedicated to eliminating homelessness and domestic violence in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties.
Kicking off Saturday, April 4, Texas Donuts will donate 10 percent of proceeds from both its Centreville and Vienna locations on five giving days throughout the month — April 4, 8, 15, 22, and 29 — as part of its inaugural "Texas Gives" campaign.
"We believe in the communities we serve," said Hoang Ton, owner of Texas Donuts. "At Texas Donuts, we open our doors every morning because of this community — and this community deserves more than just a great donut. When I learned about the work Shelter House does for families right here in Fairfax and Loudoun, I knew this was a partnership we had to be part of. I'm proud that this April, every purchase at our Centreville and Vienna locations means something bigger for a neighbor who needs it."
The funds raised throughout April will be presented as a sponsorship at the Changing Lives Benefit Luncheon, Shelter House's signature fundraising event, on April 22 at Westwood Country Club in Vienna. The annual luncheon draws approximately 300 community leaders, business owners, and elected officials united around Shelter House's mission."
Joe Meyer, CEO of Shelter House and keynote speaker at the luncheon, will acknowledge Texas Donuts' contribution and community commitment at the event. Texas Donuts will be recognized as a sponsor on the event's sponsor board. “True community change happens when compassion meets action. Our partnership with Texas Donuts is a powerful reminder that even the smallest businesses can spark extraordinary impact. When local entrepreneurs stand shoulder to shoulder with nonprofits like Shelter House, they help turn everyday moments into opportunities for hope, dignity, and transformation. Together, we're proving that it doesn't take a large organization to make a big difference. It takes a shared belief that every neighbor matters, and a willingness to show up for one another.”
Shelter House has served the Northern Virginia community for over 40 years, providing crisis intervention, emergency shelter, transitional housing, and wraparound services to neighbors experiencing homelessness and survivors of domestic violence. The organization served more than 4,496 individuals and families in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties in 2025.
Customers are encouraged to visit Texas Donuts at either location in April and enjoy their favorite donuts, Big Texas, cronuts, kolaches, and bubble teas — knowing their purchase is making a difference.
